Chilly days must be getting a real effect on people… coziness just gets people married!!! Love is in the air! Spring must be coming pretty soon… Had a fun wedding engagement shoot with Lyn and Steve, who are getting married next weekend. We took advantage of the clear, crisp, blue skies above Fullerton park…
So, Galina just had one of her sparks of spontaneous combustion of creative energy in a “think-of-it-now-shoot-it-now-trash-the-dress-and-light-up-the-otherwise-rainy-gloomy-day” mode…

ust never ceased to amaze me… With the help of friend Travis, we came up with pretty kewl angelic bride shots…
Did a job for bro-in-law, Erik Garrido, to shoot for Irvine Suites hotel’s brochure and web site… I now have a renewed new found respect for interior design and interior photography… u know, things that don’t move… whew!!! Man, was it as tough as those that do or what??!!! Topped off with a few bad luck scenarios, I think I came up with decent ones… but I’d have to go back for the rest…
The rooms are beautifully interior decorated. Erik’s staff did a helluva job! Of course, this hotel is not really a hotel… it’s really a bunch of suites… and man, are they the best looking, hugest hotel rooms I’ve ever seen around – being a previous consultant for a large consulting firm… “around” is all over the country!
… or however it gets to be pronounced. Had a chance to watch long time (no she’s not that old) office friend, Sandi perform hawaiian dance in Long Beach… ended up watching all the dances from all performers from all ages… and man, did I hear hawaiian drums roll beat…. ya, booties shaking like vertebra made of ball bearings and ya tummies showing for my “spare tire” beer barrel belly to be jealous of!!!
The little girls were very, very cute and did quite amazing! The older ones (maybe 20s, maybe teens, I dunno anymore!!! geez, I’m just a guy) are steamin’… and of course Sandi is gorgeous as usual…. Unfortunately, I have more pictures of other performers other than my friend – duh!!! what is up with that?!!! Also met Sandi’s good hubby Scott.
Another gorgeous russian model, Xenia, came out and shot with me. Russia seems to have become a breeding factory of these gorgeous ones!!!
Two awesome actors I shot with – Katie and Colin. The shoot was for Katie but Colin kinda requested for some headshots. 
August 3, 2009 – Quick model shoot with Alicia. The shoot was productive. … used beauty dish straight on to model, with ring light as fill. We had fun. She came with her patient mom, Alice.
July 19, 2009 – My friend and FlashbackImages partner Jo Dilag and myself recently covered a nice, cute beach wedding. Wedding was in Seal Beach. I think the wedding was simple, sweet, and romantic. The couple, Reeva and Erwin, looked so much in love.
The bride was radiantly beautiful that Jo and I felt that we were in one of those model shoots. And this was even before Marlou’s makeup magic made Reeva look even more stunning.
The groom, Erwin, was equally a kewl, dashing dude with quite a keen sense of humor. He actually offered some coins to my “beggar’s cup-like” flash attachment. Dude, I so get that all the time – been thinking of gettin’ rid of the darn thing. Maybe that’s why I managed to leave it in your place!
Both filled the fortunately not so windy but warm beach air with sweet romance while the glorious sunset spiced up the union. Awwww, L’amour…. Apparently this couple fell in love with each other twice in their lifetime! They kept kissing each other even without the traditional “kiss” requests of tinkling of glasses from guests.
The wedding was held right beside the restaurant by the beach where they had the reception. The pleasant surprise are the warm wishes and applause of the audience… contributing to the nice festive celebration.
I, for one, is just simply proud and honored to capture a part of their heartwarming occasion.

July 11, 2009 – Had a chance to work again for the nth time with my russian friend, Gallia. As usual, her very friendly, pleasant smile made the shoot very productive for the lifestyle shots.
Lit with straight on, overhead beauty dish and very light fill, Gallia’s smiles seem to always shine through.
Was quite lucky in scheduling with her as apparently she has moved out of California to Utah. She was just on vacation in Cali but she was going to school in Utah.
July 2, 2009 – Had a fun time shooting with this adorable young couple of models, Kristin and Ben. The shoot was supposedly a portfolio shoot for Kristin but she and I managed to coax the shy Ben into shooting couple shots. Hey, hard to say “no” to a gorgeous smile like hers.
November, 2008 – Jo and I had an opportunity to be part of another couple’s special day – Patrick and Myrene Wedding.
